Medicine Hat College is a public, board governed, comprehensive community college serving a large region of southeastern Alberta and southwestern Saskatchewan. Open since 1965, the college is a 45-hectare modern, progressive institution of learning. MHC serves over 8,000 learners each year. More than half of the students are from the Medicine Hat region. The institution emphasizes small classes, high-quality instruction, and excellent student support.
Medicine Hat College offers many options for its students: degrees in partnership with Alberta universities, certificates, diplomas, applied degree programs, college preparation, apprenticeship trades, continuing studies for career enhancement and recruitment. The College is a proud member of Campus Alberta.
The institution operates from two campuses located in Medicine Hat and Brooks. Medicine Hat College invests in applied research to benefit students, industry, the community, and beyond. It provides facilities, training, and expertise to organizations looking to research and develop new products and services. Research projects range from alternative energy, studying the impact of simulation technology in health education, 3-D printing and more.
