Applications are typically processed within eight to ten weeks.
Upon approval, candidates receive a provincial nomination from Yukon, along with a letter of support for a temporary work permit. This allows candidates to commence employment in the Yukon while their application for permanent residence is processed. Accepting the nomination boosts the candidate’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score by 600 points, virtually ensuring an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in the subsequent Express Entry draw.
