Recent 2024 BC PNP Draw Results | British Columbia Updates

The latest results for British Columbia's 2024 PNP draw have been announced, highlighting new invitations for immigration.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held its latest draw on September 24, 2024, issuing approximately 145 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residency (PR). This draw specifically targeted various occupations, continuing the province's effort to fill critical skill gaps in the workforce.

Out of the total ITAs, 57 were sent to applicants in the tech sector, focusing on 35 occupations under the skilled worker and international graduate streams, including the Express Entry options. The minimum score required for this tech-targeted draw was 117, consistent with previous draws.

In addition, 42 ITAs were granted to those with experience as early childhood educators or assistants, classified under National Occupational Classification (NOC) 42202. This stream maintained a minimum score of 83, which is in line with recent draws.

The healthcare sector also received attention, with 24 ITAs going to candidates with experience in 39 healthcare-related occupations. The minimum score for healthcare candidates was set at 99.

Moreover, the newest category introduced in 2023, which focuses on construction occupations, issued 22 ITAs. Candidates needed a minimum score of 89 to be invited in this category, which targets 25 specific construction-related jobs.

The September 24 draw is one of several held this month. For example, in the draw on September 17, 65 general ITAs were issued under the skilled worker and international graduate streams, all requiring a minimum score of 128. Another 43 ITAs were sent to early childhood educators, and 29 to those in construction occupations.

The September 10 draw similarly focused on tech occupations, sending 84 ITAs with a minimum score of 117. It also targeted early childhood educators, healthcare, and construction occupations, reflecting BC PNP's priority to address critical labour shortages in these sectors.

BC PNP holds regular draws, typically every Tuesday or Wednesday. These draws alternate between general invitations and targeted rounds for specific sectors like tech, healthcare, construction, and childcare. Candidates who receive ITAs can apply for permanent residency, contributing to British Columbia's economic and workforce development.

Processing times for BC PNP applications typically take around three months from when the complete application is received. The province also charges fees for processing these applications, depending on the category of entry.

Looking ahead, the next BC PNP draw is anticipated to take place on September 31, 2024. It is expected to be a combination of both general and targeted rounds, continuing to focus on sectors like tech, healthcare, construction, and early childhood education.
