Memorial University is one of the largest universities in Atlantic Canada, offering more than 300 program options to a student population of almost 19,000 students from more than 115 countries and every province in Canada.
The only university in Newfoundland and Labrador, Memorial offers a vast array of undergraduate and graduate degree programs in arts, science, education, environment and sustainability, fine arts, medicine, engineering and applied science, business, music, maritime studies, technology and ocean instrumentation, human kinetics and recreation, nursing, pharmacy and social work. University researchers perform more than 50 percent of all the research and development in the province.
Memorial has several campuses, each unique. Students at the St. John’s Campus benefit from a wide variety of programs and state-of-the-art facilities, including one of the best library systems in Canada. Memorial’s newest campus, Signal Hill Campus, focuses on 21st century issues by connecting the expertise and ideas of Memorial students, faculty, staff and the people and organizations of Newfoundland and Labrador.
