Manitoba and Alberta Invite Candidates for Provincial Nomination

Manitoba and Alberta have selected candidates for their immigration programs.

Two provinces have invited candidates to apply for permanent residency through their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). Both Manitoba and Alberta held multiple immigration draws, selecting candidates based on various eligibility criteria.

Manitoba’s Recent Draws

Between February 28 and March 7, Manitoba issued 111 invitations through its Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas streams.

  • Skilled Worker in Manitoba Draw (March 6):
    • 98 candidates received invitations.
    • The lowest-ranked candidate had a score of 861.
  • Skilled Worker Overseas Draw:
    • 13 candidates were invited.
    • The lowest-ranked candidate had a score of 724.
    • Only candidates who were directly invited under a strategic recruitment initiative were considered.

Out of the total 111 invitations, 27 were issued to candidates with a valid Express Entry profile and a job seeker validation code.

Alberta’s Immigration Draws

Alberta conducted multiple draws between February 7 and March 7 under different streams, including Express Entry, the Alberta Opportunity Stream, and the Dedicated Health Care Pathway. The province also held a special draw for law enforcement professionals.

Breakdown of Alberta’s Draws:

  • February 7: 20 candidates from the agriculture sector were invited (minimum score: 64).
  • February 12: 63 candidates from the Accelerated Tech Pathway were invited (minimum score: 67).
  • February 14: 88 construction workers received invitations (minimum score: 61).
  • February 18: 32 healthcare workers in the Express Entry category were selected (minimum score: 47).
  • February 19: 9 healthcare workers from the non-Express Entry category were invited (minimum score: 51).
  • February 27: 22 healthcare workers from the Express Entry stream received invitations (minimum score: 45).
  • February 28: 9 non-Express Entry healthcare workers were invited (minimum score: 49).
  • March 5: 4 law enforcement professionals were selected (minimum score: 48).

Alberta’s Dedicated Health Care Pathway

This program has two application streams:

  1. Express Entry-Aligned: For candidates eligible under the Alberta Express Entry stream.
  2. Non-Express Entry: For healthcare workers who meet all other eligibility requirements but do not qualify for Express Entry.

Alberta and Manitoba continue to focus on inviting skilled professionals to support their workforce needs. With regular draws, both provinces are creating opportunities for skilled workers to settle and contribute to Canada’s economy.
