Manitoba and P.E.I. invite applicants for provincial immigration

Manitoba and Prince Edward Island have invited candidates to apply for provincial immigration through their nominee programs. These invitations target skilled workers, international students, and individuals with strong ties to the provinces.

Manitoba’s Latest Draws

Between February 14 and 21, Manitoba conducted two draws under its Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). The first draw, under the International Education stream, invited 19 candidates. To qualify, applicants needed a master’s degree or higher and a close relative in Manitoba who has lived there for at least one year and holds Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.

The second draw, under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, issued 22 invitations. These candidates had received direct invitations through Manitoba’s strategic recruitment initiative. The lowest score among invited applicants was 711.

In total, Manitoba sent 41 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs). Among them, seven candidates had valid Express Entry profile numbers and job seeker validation codes.

Prince Edward Island’s Draw

On February 20, PEI held its second draw of 2025, inviting 87 candidates under the Labour Impact and Express Entry pathways. This draw focused on individuals working in key sectors and those already living in PEI for at least a year.

PEI also prioritized international student graduates from the following institutions:

  • University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI)
  • Holland College
  • Collège de l’Île

These draws help address labor shortages and support economic growth by bringing in skilled professionals and graduates with strong connections to the provinces.
