Amid ongoing concerns about the labor market, numerous positions with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) are currently open across various locations in Canada.

The CRA is seeking applicants for SP-03 clerical roles in Kelowna, Surrey, Vancouver, Victoria, and other locations in British Columbia. Priority will be given to the first 100 candidates who meet the qualifications.
The available positions are Compliance Programs Support Clerk and Investigations Support Clerk. Candidates must possess a secondary school diploma and a postsecondary certificate or diploma in office administration, administrative assistant, business administration, human resources management, or a related field from a recognized institution. Additionally, applicants need at least 12 months of work experience in customer service or an office environment within the past two years. The salary range for these positions is $58,307 to $64,361 annually. The application deadline is July 31, 2024.
In Ontario, the CRA is hiring for various SP-01 to SP-04 positions in Sudbury and ES-02 to ES-04 positions in Ottawa.

These positions in Sudbury do not require prior experience. Applicants for SP-01, SP-02, and SP-03 roles need two years of secondary school education or equivalent, while SP-04 roles require a secondary school diploma. Priority will be given to the first 200 candidates, with the application deadline set for September 19, 2024.
In Ottawa, the CRA seeks junior, intermediate, and senior quantitative analysts for the service, innovation, and integration branches. These positions require relevant experience and a degree in economics, sociology, statistics, geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or geomatics. The salary range is $67,619 to $80,124, depending on the job level, with an application deadline of November 27, 2024.
The CRA is also recruiting experienced tax, audit, and accounting professionals for AU-03 level positions in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan. Locations include Vancouver, Surrey, Victoria, Kelowna, Penticton, Prince George, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg.
Candidates for these roles must have at least two years of relevant experience within the past five years and a degree with a specialization in accounting from a recognized postsecondary institution. The salary range is $95,745 to $117,752 annually. The application deadline is July 31, 2024. These roles are also open to current CRA employees at the AU-02 level.
Preference for most government jobs in Canada will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. However, international students on post-graduate work permits and their spouses on open work permits are also encouraged to apply. If no suitable Canadian citizens or permanent residents are available, then after these positions may be filled by temporary residents. Gaining experience in applying for government jobs can be beneficial for those transitioning to permanent residency.
