Ontario, British Columbia, and Manitoba have announced new nominations for immigration candidates.
Last week, three Canadian provinces have issued nominations to candidates through their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), helping them on their path to permanent residence.
Ontario's Moves: Ontario’s Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) conducted two draws this week under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. On August 13th, 420 candidates with job offers in healthcare fields received invitations. These candidates needed a minimum score of 50 based on Ontario’s scoring system. In the same round, another 958 candidates with job offers in various in-demand occupations were invited, with a required minimum score of 54.
British Columbia’s Selections: The British Columbia PNP (BCPNP) also held four targeted draws this week. These draws were aimed at skilled workers and international graduates with experience in key sectors. A total of 135 candidates were selected across five sectors:
Manitoba’s Nominations: Manitoba’s PNP (MPNP) held two draws on August 15th. The first draw was for the International Education Stream, targeting candidates with a master’s or doctoral degree from a Manitoba institution within the past three years. These candidates needed to meet a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of at least 7, but no specific cut-off score was provided.
The second draw was for the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, inviting 40 candidates through a strategic recruitment initiative. These candidates needed a minimum score of 703 on the MPNP’s scoring system. Out of 292 applications that received an Invitation to Apply (ITA), 37 were from candidates with a valid Express Entry profile.
