Ontario Express Entry Draw Sends 1,424 PR Invitations.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has taken a significant step by inviting 1,424 candidates to apply for provincial nominations through its Express Entry system. This latest draw specifically targets individuals under the Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream. Candidates who submitted their Express Entry profiles between September 19, 2023, and September 19, 2024, with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores ranging from 505 to 528, are eligible for this opportunity.

The OINP focuses on attracting Express Entry candidates who are eager to settle in Ontario, especially those with relevant work experience in one of the 103 prioritized occupations. This includes roles in various sectors such as healthcare, engineering, and technology. Candidates who receive a nomination from the OINP can significantly boost their CRS score by 600 points, which greatly enhances their chances of obtaining permanent residency.

After receiving an invitation, candidates have 45 days to respond to the OINP. If they proceed with the application and are nominated, it can significantly increase their profile's competitiveness in the federal Express Entry system, making permanent residency more attainable.

Among the targeted occupations, the list includes a variety of roles, highlighting the demand for skilled workers across multiple fields. Some of the notable positions include:

This diverse array of occupations reflects Ontario’s aim to draw skilled professionals who can contribute to various sectors and support the province’s economic growth.

The OINP has been proactive in responding to labor market needs. By focusing on skilled workers ready to contribute to the province's economy, the program is seen as a vital component of Ontario’s immigration strategy. The province aims to build a stronger workforce by inviting individuals with the skills and experience necessary to thrive in various industries.
