Application Process

The application process for the Business Immigration Stream involves several steps:

  1. Interested candidates must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the NBPNP, indicating their desire to be considered for the Business Immigration Stream.
  2. The NBPNP will assess the EOI based on various factors, including the candidate’s business ownership or proposal, personal net worth, education, language proficiency, and potential to contribute to the province’s economic development.
  3. If selected, the candidate will receive an invitation to submit a full application to the NBPNP, providing all required documents, such as a comprehensive business plan, proof of funds, educational credentials, and language test results.
  4. The NBPNP will conduct a thorough evaluation of the application, including a review of the business plan’s viability, the candidate’s ability to successfully establish and manage the proposed business, and their potential to create employment opportunities in New Brunswick.
  5. If approved, the candidate will receive a nomination certificate from the province of New Brunswick.
  6. With the provincial nomination, the candidate can then apply for permanent residence through the Federal Express Entry system or the Federal Skilled Worker Program, depending on their specific circumstances.

It’s important to note that the Business Immigration Stream is highly competitive, and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee nomination. The program evaluates applications based on various factors, including the candidate’s business experience, entrepreneurial skills, and the potential economic impact of their proposed business venture on the province.

Successful applicants through this stream can enjoy the benefits of permanent residency in New Brunswick, including the ability to live and work in the province indefinitely, access to social services, and the potential for Canadian citizenship after meeting the residency requirements.

The Business Immigration Stream provides a valuable opportunity for entrepreneurs and investors to establish their businesses in New Brunswick while contributing to the province’s economic growth and job creation.
