International Graduate Entrepreneur Category

This program is tailored for international graduates from eligible universities and colleges in Saskatchewan who wish to launch their own businesses. To qualify for permanent residency, applicants must manage a business in Saskatchewan for at least one year.

This program welcomes international students who have completed their studies at recognized institutions in Saskatchewan and want to start their own businesses in the province. To be eligible for permanent residency, candidates must oversee a business in Saskatchewan for at least one year.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have completed a full-time degree or diploma program lasting at least two years at a designated institution in Saskatchewan
  • Must possess a valid Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) with a duration of at least two years
  • Must have resided in Saskatchewan throughout their academic program
  • Must meet the language proficiency requirement of CLB 7

Application Process

The application process is similar to the Entrepreneur Category and consists of four steps. Firstly, applicants must register their Expression of Interest with the SINP, receiving a point score. The highest-scoring candidates are selected in each draw.

Successful candidates are then invited to submit an application directly to the SINP through the online application system. Along with the application, candidates must provide a Business Establishment Plan (BEP) that aligns with the information submitted in the Expression of Interest.

Upon successful completion of this stage, candidates must sign a Business Performance Agreement (BPA) based on the submitted BEP.

The next step involves actively managing the proposed business in accordance with the terms outlined in the BPA. The BPA requirements must be fulfilled before the PGWP expires.

Once the conditions outlined in the BPA are met, candidates can apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residency. With a nomination, they become eligible to apply for permanent residency directly with IRCC.
